September: Baby Month!

Okay, so we're not even halfway through September, but it is baby month and we are SO excited over here! If I'm being totally honest, it depends from day to day my level of excitement. I'm always looking forward to it, but I'm also finding myself being very overwhelmed and scared. I know they're all normal things to feel. I'm trying to soak everything in, feel it all, and then let the bad things go. So far, it's working quite nicely.

As I've said before, Ellie can hardly stand it. I told her baby brother would be here in 2 weeks and she immediately took it as 2 days...which is still basically forever in her almost-4-year-old world. We did a name switcheroo on her a few weeks ago and she said she didn't want anything to do with the baby if we changed his name. Silly girl. She actually stuck to her guns until we had the sweetest bedtime conversation. She was asking about heaven and why she jumped down first. I told her it was because she was first in line and oh so brave. She loved that. And then she looked at me with almost sad eyes and asked if she gave Fitz a hug before she jumped down into my tummy. I got a little teary eyed myself and I told her that I was positive that they gave each other the biggest hug and kiss and promised to be together soon. Then she asked if she hugged the baby as well and called him by his actual name that we will be giving him. It was the sweetest experience and she has been so excited ever since. She also threw in there that she hugged her baby sister that's coming after this baby...we'll see. I love the sweet spirit that children bring into our home. There is nothing like it.

Fitz probably has no idea whats about to hit him, but he has been sweetly playing with Ellie's baby dolls and its enough to make me melt. He has me wrap them up, he rocks them, kisses them, gives them a bottle, and puts them to bed. Then we're met with lots of "sshhhhhh's" for the next 5 minutes. It makes me happy that he's so sweet and does give me a glimmer of hope. He also loves to poke my belly, say "bebe", and then kiss it. I die. Seriously, kids are the best, especially when they're yours. Fitz has been a little slow to talk but this last week he has started stringing 2-3 words together. Most of them have to do with trucks, tractors, or motorcycles, but when he says "love you mama" followed with a kiss, well I wouldn't trade that for the world.

Random pictures, but Ellie and Kendall showed up to church in the same dress, which also happens to be Ellie's favorite, so we had to get a picture of these 2 hooligans. Oh, I love them. And would it be a Chelsea blog post if I didn't include a few sleeping pictures. I guess I'm kind of creepy that way. I just can't resist a still sleeping angel child.

Just a few random pregnancy facts before we wrap this up:

1. I actually packed my bags before my due date. With Ellie I packed my bag on my due date and with Fitz it was the night before I was induced...at 11 p.m. as we were leaving to stay with my mom. How ridiculous am I?! I think it's just some weird mental block, like I don't want my body to think that I'm ready. Silly, I know. But, at 37 weeks, I am packed! Baby boy can stay put for a bit longer, but it does give me a nice peace of mind, which I'm desperately searching for this pregnancy.

2. Before I got pregnant I started attending High Fitness classes. They are so hard for me, but have been the best workout. I didn't keep up with working out during my previous 2 pregnancies and have always regretted it, especially after Fitz. I actually was not able to loose much weight after Fitz at all, so getting pregnant with a bunch of old pregnancy weight was a leap of faith for me. Anyway, I promised myself that even if I had to march in place during the whole class, I would workout and go to High my whole pregnancy. And guess what?! I've totally done it! I'm not even bragging, I'm just very very proud of myself, and I should be! It has not been easy. I was a little hit and miss my first trimester, but really started to dedicate specific dates and times to attending during my second and third trimesters. With the exception of a few weeks, I've made it 3-4 times a week religiously. I'm pretty positive that I would have quit about 3 weeks ago unless I would have made myself this promise because man, the jumping, lunges, and squats are getting difficult, but there's not many better feelings than walking out of that class. It's amazing, I've never had an easier pregnancy and I'm positive that it's because I've stayed active. Fingers crossed for an even easier recovery and delivery than last time. I have so much more confidence in myself and my body, and know that I'll be able to keep it up after I heal from delivery.

3. I am a list person and I have most definitely had a before baby list. And again, I've killed it. I think all I have left to do is hang a few pictures in the baby's room, clean the sink, and sit back on my couch and keep the house clean and the kids alive for the next 2 weeks. Ah, it feels good. I'm finding out I will need to start wearing blinders though because there are always projects and gosh dang it, I deserve to relax.

4. Catching up on blogging has been on my list, so this feels extra good. Yay for journaling. My babies deserve it.

Here's to 37 weeks and being full term. Keep getting chunky for us baby boy!

Pregnancy #3 // 0-18 weeks

I have officially crawled out of the first trimester hole and want to make sure that it's documented, even though 98% of it involves me laying on the couch. I'm due September 30th with our second boy! Y, es it seems that we are on some kind of schedule. When this baby is born Fitz will have (hopefully) just turned 2 and Ellie will be 4 at the beginning of October. Yes, people think we're crazy, but I just want my whole family here. Having a baby in the early fall is pretty great too. And yes, I also know I will be pregnant all summer. I've done it twice. It's not bad, but I don't know any different. Just get me all my babies!

I have to be totally honest, this pregnancy was, and sometimes still is, a huge leap of faith. Fitz's first year of life was one of my hardest. It wasn't completely his fault, but his disdain for sleep was a big contributing factor. Really, in all honesty though, it was the hormones and a lot of growing up that needed to happen anyway. I still wouldn't trade it. It was However, once Fitz turned one, he became a dream napper and night sleeper, just like that! I was finally able to start working out regularly. I didn't feel overwhelmed by life in general. Oh, and I stopped nursing, which I'm pretty sure caused a ridiculous amount of anxiety on its own. I finally felt like myself and it was a beautiful thing.

When Fitz turned 1, I knew our next baby was itching to get here. I had been fighting it and would continue to do so, well, until I got pregnant. I didn't want to give up my body or energy again. Mostly, I didn't want to give up the feeling of finally feeling like I was an active participant in my life again. Sound dramatic? I tend to do that, but it's true.

I got a positive pregnancy test on January 21st and I was nothing but ecstatic. The realization didn't sink in until later and then all of the worries set in. I have kind of miserable first trimesters with lots of throwing up. So my first order of business was to convince myself that this pregnancy would be different. I made it until about 6 weeks and then the nausea set in. Luckily, Diclegis had been invented since my pregnancy with Fitz and while I felt consistent nausea and exhaustion I only threw up when I forgot to take my meds the night before. It was a heaven sent blessing.

Those 8 weeks are always the hardest for me, and they get more and more so each time because I still have tiny people who need me constantly. When I was pregnant with Fitz I would lay on the couch and throw pieces of bread at Ellie to feed her until Jeremy got home while intermittently throwing up. It was ridiculous. Luckily, this time there were only a few days where I couldn't look at food, but still, we made it through our entire Disney library at least 19 times and have watched more Netflix than I'll ever admit. One of the things that I love about having September/October babies, I'm sick during February and March, and nothing exciting happens in February and March. By the time it warms up I feel great and am ready to hit the pools...in a maternity swimsuit (ugh!)

The kids handled it really well. They played together more than they ever have, and I've loved watching their relationship develop. Still, I think we were all excited to take off to Hawaii and get out of the house. Amazingly enough, the day after we got to Hawaii I got off of Diclegis and only had a few sick moments the whole 2 weeks. Since then I've felt pretty good in that regard and I thank my lucky stars every day! I still have several food aversions. This time it's guacamole, salads with meat, and eggs. The eggs have carried over all 3 pregnancies, which drives me nuts because it takes me almost 6 months after to get over it every time.

I'm still really really tired and I have a small disdain for all of the girls that get their energy back in the second trimester. Ok, not really, but I just really really wish that was me. My energy has gone up from zero though, so I can't complain too much. I've also noticed this time around that I have to budget my energy stores and it has been the most frustrating thing so far. If I wake up early, exercise, or just "go" too much during the day, I almost have a crash for the 2 days after. It's made sitting down throughout the day easier to justify, but so dumb when I'm trying to get things done, because getting up after sitting down is rough even when you're not pregnant. Am I right?! I've had to give myself a lot of grace and let a lot of things go, which is never easy.

As far as gender goes, I was super positive I was having a girl. Everyone else, EVERYONE, guessed boy, except you Melinda! Thanks for the support! Okay, and Ellie. Ellie really wants a sister still. We were so excited to find out we're having a boy though. It just feels right and Ellie took it surprisingly well. She's just going to be happy to have a tiny baby to take care of. I'm super excited, but a tiny bit nervous at the amount of freedom she thinks she's going to have. It's going to be the sweetest thing, I just know it. I couldn't stand to wait and surprise ourselves, so Jeremy and I found out and then we told Ellie and Fitz by spraying them with blue silly string. There had to be balloons involved too, of course. It was really fun! Since then, I have found all of the cutest baby things Target has to offer and we're basically ready to roll. Having the same gender is going to be so nice as far as reusing all of the things! We pretty much have a name nailed down, and I'm hoping it sticks, but knowing Jeremy and I, who knows!

So, here I am, 18 weeks in. I have once again given up my body and every ounce of energy I posses. I swear I started showing at 8 weeks...and the zits! It's worth it. I'm so excited for September, and am trying not to wish away the wonderful summer we have ahead of us. I want to soak in every second of Ellie and Fitz time I can get. They're getting so big. So, here we go!

Summer, we're ready for you!

Baby Rue #2

We're transitioning from a party of 3 to a party of 4 and evening the family score with a little baby boy! I'm due September 25th, the day before j.rue's birthday. If he decides to come the same way his sister did, he'll be born on his daddy's birthday. We're so excited to be adding to our family and to see Ellie transition into big sisterhood. It's honestly the thing that I'm most excited for, the moment they meet, the first kiss she gives him, and hearing her say love you {insert name here once we decide}. How wonderful will that be?

As far as symptoms for the past 4 months, my pregnancies have been similar. I'm nauseated from exactly 6-13 weeks, which is far too long if you ask me. I'm exhausted and so far I haven't gotten any of my energy back in the second trimester. I'm just planning on being tired until the baby learns to sleep through the night like last time. I do feel like I started showing sooner so I was convinced I was going to be huge by this point, but it seems like things quickly evened out. Luckily. Unlike last time I was exercising before, but it's definitely been put on hold. I'm gradually easing back into it, but it's amazing how quickly you can loose it. Dang you nausea. Because I had been working out before the weight definitely came on more quickly than last time, but I'm trying my darndest to not let it get to me too much. I mean I'm still shoveling in the ramen, cold cereal, and salt and vinegar chips, so you know. I give into the cravings. Here's a 1st and 2nd pregnancy comparison. It's amazing that I actually had a matching picture. I was not good at documenting with Ellie. I should have just done monthly like I'm going to do with this one. Much easier. Can I also just say that I loathe this pictures. I'm not good at the angles and I always look tired. It's for records sake (repeats over and over again...)

The biggest difference about this pregnancy is how quickly it's flying by. This makes me happy and sad. I love that it's going by without even thinking about it. I'm 17 weeks today and how am I almost half way done?! Every time Friday goes around I'm in awe that another week has come and gone so easily. The first 8 weeks seemed to take forever, but I think I just like getting past that point. I'm sad because I know my one of one time with Ellie is coming to an end. I think she knows too because her cuddliness has increased by about 1000% in the last 2 months. She loves to poke my general stomach area and say "bebe". Oh how will I love another child as much as her? I know my heart will make room but I know it's one of those things that I won't even be able to begin to understand until this babe joins us in September.

I really do wonder how Ellie will be with a new baby in the beginning. I have high hopes because of her love for babies in general. She loves pointing out their tiny baby parts and squealing "soooo cuuuute!" Because of this, I think we have a fighting chance. I know she'll miss the one on one time, but I know she'll adjust quickly. I just have to remind myself that the difference between 18 months and 2 years is huge. Yes, they will be 2 weeks short of 2 years apart. I'm going to have to get creative with her, especially over the winter...you know, considering she doesn't like the snow. Little brother is going to have to learn how to travel well, and quickly because his sister never stops. Isn't it funny how many worries come to mind when you have a new babe on the way? It would keep me up at night if I didn't have my trusty 1/2 unisom. There are so many things that can go wrong before they even get here, and then there here and well...you have even less control. Babies really are your heart walking on the outside of your body. But when I get too overwhelmed with fear I just remember that whoever is meant to join our family will and our family will be perfect in it's own little way.

We can't wait to meet you little one! You are already so loved.

38

I went a tad bit cray cray this last week, and it was no bueno. On Sunday (the first day of my 38th week) I had just decided that I was done. I hurt, I hadn't slept in a few weeks and, AND, I got my first stomach stretch mark. While other stretch marks have appeared, I was really hoping to avoid the stomach ones. Well, why the heck would I be that lucky. I think I've gained a new one every day. Good thing my bikinis are packed deep in the depths of who knows where. Just kidding, I know exactly where because I did such a good job nesting.

Speaking of nesting, I got home Wednesday evening, put a little laundry away and realized that all of my house projects and cleanings are DONE. I guess 38 will be known as the week of "dones". I didn't even know what to do with myself, so I put my feet up and watched TV with zero guilt. I think that was the universe giving me a little bit of a break, it calmed me down and I'm not as in big of a hurry to get her here. I know that sounds kind of mean, but really, I need some guilt free relaxing time in a bad bad way and I plan on doing that for the next week or two. It's maybe the best feeling. BEST.

My doctors appointment this week lasted about 10 minutes.

Weight: Normal
BP: Fine.
Elle's heart beat: award winning according to the doctor
Effaced: 40%
Dialated: 0.5 cm STILL

She's so comfy in there it's not even funny, but because I'm officially ready for her arrival I'm not going to complain about kicking back and relaxing.

We were lucky enough to have j.rue's pops in town for a couple of days and did a little bit of early celebrating. Sadly, he had to leave before his big 5-0 (which was yesterday), but who hates celebrating birthdays early? Not us.

J.rue and I both had Friday off so we spent most of that day birthday shopping, with some baby errands mixed in of course, because really, there's no escaping it. So. Much. Baby. Stuff. I also decided that I would be inducing labor that weekend so we walked. a lot. I probably would have tried to walk to Park City if he would have let me. It did snow a tiny bit in PC while we were shopping and that was kind of fun. We're definitely not ready for a white world yet, but it was a fun interjection. So Friday we walked, and walked, and walked, and ate some spicy food.

^^ how's my pregnant face doin'^^

Saturday we went on a hike that about killed me. Since it about killed me, there are no pictures just because it was not pretty. It was however, the perfect day for a hike and it was gorgeous up in the mountains. Later that evening we went with the fam to Black Island Farms for some pumpkin pickin, hay riding, corn maze, sliding fun. I was hoping the slides and hay rides would tick Ellie off enough to come. So, I put myself through this:

^^let's call this gem "Mother of the Year" shall we?^^

But alas, here we are, Wednesday, October 2nd, when I thought she would be here and she's not. So I'll continue my walkin', but probably call it quits on all of the other "methods" out there. I'm just too tired. BTW, I have a pregnancy count-down at the bottom of my blog. We just have 5 days left. FIVE. It's gone by so quickly. If only I had some sort of guarantee it wouldn't be longer than 5 days.

le sigh.

37

Week 37 shall go down in the books as the week of no sleep. It's officially began, for real. I thought that it had begun a few weeks ago, but I really didn't know what was ahead. I'm actually functioning a hundred times better than I thought possible, but it still doesn't mean it's pretty. I've banned j.rue from asking me how I slept until she gets here because no one wants to rub salt in the wound and start the morning off on a negative note. Sadly, I'm one of those that takes about 30 minutes to become pleasant to be around when I have to wake up before 7. I need to work on that.

The doctors appointments was pretty much as unexciting as the weeks before. I tested negative for the strep and I was/am dilated to a whole 0.5 cm and 25% effaced. Obviously, we're not in too big of a hurry, are we Ellie? It's fine, we're not ready yet.

However, I did manage to finish off her room which I now declare my labor of love for this child. Painting over ceiling clouds, I won't do that for just anybody. When I finished it up I made j.rue come down and we just laid on the flood. It was surreal. I think he got a little excited too. I also had my final shower on Saturday, thrown by some lovely ladies in the ward. It was so fun to get together, chat, and eat lots and lots of chocolate. We really and truly did move into the best ward. Speaking of church stuff, did I mention that I got a calling? I'm the Personal Progress Advisor for the Mia Maids, and I'm stoked to be back in young womens. Also, I didn't ever finish my personal progress (sad), so I will most definitely be working on it right along with the girls.

Our little gal is huge, well at least she feels huge, at least 15 lbs. Heaven help me if she is. She's still doing all of her rolls and tumbling and will stick me with an occasional heel. I'm a little worried that she isn't going to be a snuggler because every time I find a limb or point she quickly hides away. We actually have started a hide and seek tradition every night before bed. She's exceptionally good at burying herself so far back that I can't find her. Please bless she's a little more cuddly on the outside. I wonder when she's actually going to choose to come outside? Anytime soon? It doesn't feel like it. Not one bit. COME ONE ELLIE!

While the week was full of sweet things we did loose Jeremy's sweet uncle on Tuesday. He was one of the most generous and kind man that I've ever met and heaven gained a good one. While we mourn his loss their is great comfort that he will be reunited with his sweet wife and we will see him again soon some day. That is one of the reasons why I love this gospel so much. His funeral today and Jeremy was honored to be a pall bearer. He will be so greatly missed.

P.S. It's my hot sexy man candy of a husband's birthday today. He's the big 2-7. Oh how he still makes me swoon.

ELLIE'S ANIMAL MENAGERIE

I really don't ever claim to be crafty and anytime that I am it's a total copy off of someone else. Thank goodness for everyone else's brilliant minds so that my impatient hands can take a whack at it. I love the idea of having a sentimental hand-made nursery, but alas only two hand-made things made it in there, but I'm totally okay with that. Like I said, thank goodness for OTHER creative people and big box stores (IKEAAAAAA).

The first thing that I "made" for Ellie's room was her curtains. And actually, I didn't make the curtains, I just hot glued a pom pom garland onto the curtains. No sewing involved. My kinda thang, you know? I'm quite proud of them.

The actual DIY was a wild animal menagerie. I eyeballed the idea for about 6 months, and wanted to do it, but then didn't and then didn't some more. About 3 weeks ago I realized I had no idea what to put on a particular wall space and the menagerie idea was revisited, contemplated, and completed. I love it. When I tried to describe it to people they weren't super thinking it was a cute idea, but I was certain, super super certain.

In my oh so not so humble opinion, I was right and it's adorable. You can find the original idea and directions HERE, but I think I found an easy shortcut, so here's my play-by-play:

I got my animals off of Amazon for about nine bucks. I didn't really want to spend that much, but I couldn't find these super great deals from Target that were described in the original tutorial. The frame was from Ikea and I got the gold spray paint at Wal-Mart.

I had j.rue nad j.rue2 cut the animals in half with a dremel tool. Apparently you should be able to cut them with a plain knife, but we tried that and decided against loosing appendages. I promise you a million times over, if you decide to EVER do anything like this, a dremel will make it 1,000 easier and safer.

Then they were spray painted. The animals, not the boys.

After the paint had dried, approximately 2 weeks later because of my procrastination, I cut up a poster board, stuck it in the frame and hot glued the animals to it. To keep it all sturdy I put the glass and the cardboard behind the poster. Also, I'm sure I'll want to use the frame for something else one day, you know, when this fad dies, so I wanted to keep track of the glass.

And there you have it! Probably pretty much as easy as hot gluing pom poms on to curtains. Except getting those dang animals straight, waaay harder than gluing. Actually, pretty much not possible.

36

Remember when I wrote a love letter to 34 weeks? Well, I was completely spot on because I really do love that 34 weeks. No aches and pains and the such. I suppose though that I would rather be less than a month out (21 days!) than have no aches and pains. Over the last week my body has also decided that as desperately as it needs sleep, it's not gonna have it. I literally live for Sunday afternoon naps like never before. There's something magical about naps. They're nothing like night time sleeps. At the moment, there really is nothing better than getting home from church, chowing down on some pb&j and than laying down next to j.rue (who is reading or watching football) and taking a nice long nap. Oh yeah, and the puppies are snuggling of course. Really, not many better things right now.

I had a doctors appointment last week (and I'm sure you will notice that this is a common theme over the next few posts) and everything is in tip top shape, including my cervix, which has now "dropped" or done whatever it's supposed to do to warrant progress. First, being checked IS NOT THAT BAD. Maybe it's because I haven't progressed a lick, but not bad. I've seriously had paps hurt worse. Second, I'm debating being checked again this week because this last time totally got my hopes up. I didn't plan on being at a 3 or anything, but nothin, come on.  So, I really don't know if I want to hear that I'm at the same place. But chances are, I'll be checked again because that's the kind of person that I am.

All along I've been guessing that she'll come on October 2nd, well, since I'm the mom, I'm going to change my guess to October 10th. I'm just starting to feel like she is oh so comfy in there, yes because of my last appointment, but like I said, I'm the mom. I've actually been waiting my whole life to use that excuse. HUZZAH! I actually need to go around to family and get official guesses about due dates. We'll probably get weights, lengths, and hair color guesses while we're at it. That'll be a fun memory post.

One of the last projects on my to-do before Ellie gets here list was to get the carpets clean, which we did Saturday morning, at 8 am. Please take my advice, don't get your carpets cleaned at 8 am on a Saturday. Meaning you will be up at 7 moving furniture, meaning if you're 8 months pregnant, your husband will be up at 7 am moving furniture. Not fun. But it's nice to have it done.

I had another shower on Saturday and it was just lovely, this one was thrown by some of my sweet friends from high school. It was so fun to catch up with everyone. Again, I sucked at got about 0 pictures, so I'll be needing those ladies, please send them my way! I really do have the best (and prettiest) friends.

Again, Melinda was kind enough to run a million errands with me that night, and Brookie Jayde even decided to join us for the ride. While we were out to dinner she was asked if she wanted to go shopping or stay home with the daddies. Obviously her mother has trained her right because she yelled "shoppin!" without a moment's hesitation. Oh we love that girl. We spent the rest of the night hitting up Target, Wal-mart and what felt like 15 other places. We were pooped by the time we got home.

The last pregnancy event that went down was another hormonal induced cry session. It's really getting a little ridiculous, these hormones do not take a day off EVER. I was at lunch with j.rue and suggested getting away from a weekend before Ellie got here. Then we started looking through our calendars and realized that the next weekend that would really work would be the weekend of her due date, and while this MIGHT work, it probably won't be I will either a) have a baby or b) be so huge and ready to have a baby that I'll just want to be home in my own bed.

Of course this brought on crazy emotions and tears about how everything is going to change and it'll never be just the two of us again. ever. No more spontaneity (even though we're totally not). I'm just glad that these random emotions that I had no idea I had are manifesting themselves now and now 2 weeks after Ellie gets her. It allows me to deal and allows j.rue to give me really huge hugs which I also need. Mostly, everything is about me now. After a nice long chat, I now am comfortable with the fact that we will still go on dates, he does still love me, and that while things will be different, they will be a better different. This is probably the 10 millionth time he's given me this pep talk. Such the coach. Did I marry a winner or what?

The below pictures looks like j.rue is the one having the pregnancy induced melt-down when in fact he's basically dying over how good his slice of oreo pizza is. We're so going back next week. Caaarrbsss!

BECAUSE SOMETIMES I CAN BLOG MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK

Just don't get used to the idea because, really. Just really. Oh and here are also some random pictures:

Actually, I kind of miss blogging more than once a week, but then I think NO! I can't talk about that because then I'll have nothing to talk about in my weekly pregnancy updated, because, you know, it's pretty much taken over my life. But I think that's allowed right? It doesn't mean it makes for a fun read, but it makes for a fun write.

Still, it's Friday the 13th so things are bound to get a little whacky, right? Avoid sidewalk cracks, and really just any crack in general.

Two nights ago I had an epiphany that I should change Ellie's name to Harper, like a super strong epiphany. J.rue shut me down hard and fast. It's okay, I'll just save it for the next one, if we have a next one. So, if you're related or close to me feel free to use to name, just know that I'll be using it too if given the opportunity. Same names are fun though, right? I loved sharing a name. Speaking of names, I always refer to the babe on here as Ellie, but did you know that her actual real life name is going to be Eleanor? It is, and most people hate it. Do you know what I hate? That they can't hide it enough until after I've left the conversation. Really, people just LIE! I'm hormonal and about to name my first person. Lie.

J.rue and I went to a breastfeeding course last night, and I loved it. At first, I really just did it because I've been told time and time again that breastfeeding is the pitts, but also completely necessary. Now I'm all empowered and such and can't wait. J.rue didn't mind it too much either and I always love to have him there for support. And boy oh boy and I going to need his support for the first while. I'm glad he'll be able to be my boob coach, I really wouldn't have it any other way.

Most of the class was a nice review but I did learn that if a baby has NOTHING but breast milk exclusively (even water) for the first 6 months, their stomachs will develop a Teflon like surface in their stomachs and most viruses and illness inducing stuff will just come right out. If they're given other things then that surface still develops, it just has holes in it. So, sorry first child, I've officially identified my first soapbox, nothing but breast milk until we're through 6 months. Won't it be fun to watch my soapboxes crumble beneath my feet as things don't go exactly my way? I'll still be trying though, so watch it!

I'm trying to think of non-baby things to write about because I really hated it when people only talked about baby things. Now, I'm starting to realize why they did. It's literally all you think about. Literally. So I'm pretty sure I can sum up the rest of my life in a nutshell: I'm still working and it's still fun. I still love my husband. It's football season so my husband loves life a little more. Maggie and Coop are still with us. We grew some peaches and they were delicious except that I was so wrapped up in baby stuff that we basically picked 10. Our carpets are getting cleaned tomorrow (but that's only because we have a baby coming). Annnd oh, I'm just not getting the fall fever like everyone else it. Hm...I wonder why?

NOW! I'm off to a doctors appointments. You know, the ones that are not super fun. Strep tests, weight checks, and actual checks. Oi.

Also this weekend, I'm hoping j.rue watches a lot of football so I can do a lot of nothing. I'm pooped you guys, right up to my hairline, just plain pooped. I could sleep for hours and hours and hours and hours. Pooped.
