EXERCISING WHILE PREGNANT

...sucks. Unless your high school BFF is getting certified to teach body step and kicks your trash while doing so.


I swear to you Jaclyn was born to do this. If you ever get lucky enough to take a class from her, you'll know what I mean. 

I was hoping and praying that exercising would be pretty much the same once I was pregnant, but alas, nothing ever goes the way one hopes. I made it to about 7 weeks and then got nauseated when I just tried to put the stretchy pants on. So, I conceded to the first trimester and vowed to do better once the second came. Well, here I am 2.5 weeks in and I've exercised...twice, including last night. As evidenced below my trash was well kicked. Exercising is neither easy nor fun at the moment. Thinking about the treadmill or elliptical make me want to gouge my eyes out and classes just scare me. I have a recurring nightmare that I have to throw-up and I don't make it to a trash can. How embarrassing and that's something that would happen to me.

Doesn't she just look like a step instructor?


So after last night I've promised myself 4 times/week for an hour. That's totally doable and probably very necessary for my mental health at this point, it is the end of the semester.

  2. Jackie is so cool! And I'm super proud of you for working out, I can count on one hand how many times I worked out while pregnant, and the last 6 months... haha, so good work! You inspire me!
