Grocery Love

I am a food lover, but not a grocery shopping lover. I find it overwhelming and time consuming. I'm not a good meal planner, so I end up buying stuff we don't need and I'll NEVER be able to find adobo sauce or tahini quickly, was not born with the grocery store navigation gift like my mom was. I can't tell you how many times I've called her while at the grocery store and she leads me right where I need to go, without ever being to that store before. Lucky Duck! Another problem that I've run into is the produce selection. Everything is either too ripe/mushy/wrinkly or has no flavor. I've tried Wal-Mart, Winco, Fresh Market, Bowman's, Smith, and nothin'

Well, those negative feelings were resolved yesterday when I walked into the new Farmington Harmon's:

Folks, I'm pretty sure when I walked in the clouds parted and I heard the hallelujah choirs.

It's clean
it's bright
the people know what they're talking about
they have great produce
there is a fabulous selection of deli meats and cheese
my cashier was nice

They have a delicious looking bakery, a fresh salad/soup bar, flower shop, on-site dietition, etc. It's a beautiful thing. If I could live in there, I would.

So, if you're up around those parts GO, and if you're feeling social, give me a call. I'd love to join you.
