JANUARY HANKERINGS

I haven't done a things I'm obsessing over post in a while, so I'm thinking today's that time. Here are a few January picks:

1. Hungry for Change I watched the documentary on Netflix (twice) and am now slightly obsessed. Then I found out there was a book. With recipes. Did I mention that I got on the scale Sunday night and weighed the most I've ever weighed in my whole dang life? Yikes.

2. Speaking of the above, a good juicer is highly encouraged. I'm fawning over this one

3. Embryolisse Concentrated Lait Cream I was once told that when you find "that" face cream to hold onto it like the holy grail, and for the past few months I've done just that. I discovered this through my birchbox and have never looked back. It's creamy and lovely and basically just perfect. I've been feeling pretty happy with my face skin as of late. Unfortunately, there isn't any spf included, so I'm still looking for the perfect way to incorporate that. Wrinkles, ew.

4. Animal magnets from Boogy Boos on Etsy, but can be found discounted at Brickyard Buffalo, my daily fave. Who wouldn't want adorable animal bums on their fridge? I certainly would. The most fun part? You don't know which animals you're getting! I ordered a couple sets in white. I'm literally sweating with anticipation.

5. I'm jonesing for a new sofa in a bad bad bad sort of way. When we first got married we were desperate to get the camping chairs out of the living room, so I bought some dirt cheap couches off of KSL with some poorly fitting couch covers. Since then the couch covers have been updated, but not much else. One day, I say. One day. I just want something simple with pretty clean lines. If I had my way most of my house would be stark white and gray, but that just doesn't seem to practical with 2 puppies and a husband who uses everything for a napkin, but a napkin.

6. Benefit's Fine One One, stupid name, awesome looking product. It's a cheek/lip color that's supposed to highlight and contour. I can see the highlighting but I'm a little wary about the contouring. Still, looks fun. Maybe is the summa time, which I'm very much looking forward too.

7. No picture for this one, but I am surely falling for Trader Joe's. I hate the crowds, but the food and prices, wowee. Now, I just need to find a solid hour to walk around and plan my menu. I think this is the beginning of a long and beautiful relationship.

p.s. did you know that yesterday was supposedly the most depressing day of the year? So, my mood wasn't MY fault, it was the universe's. I love when I can blame things on not me :)
