thirteen by 2013 - pt. 2

6. Finish decorating our bedroom.
Remember how LAST summer {like summer 2010} I said I would have my room complete? I totally lied. It's about 97.562% done. I've even hung drapes. I just need to hang 2 pictures and stick some vinyl up on the wall {which I can now do on my own with my new SILHOUETTE!!! Thanks mom!} I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.

7. This year, I WILL GET TO MY GOAL WEIGHT!
It wouldn't be the beginning of a new year without a weight resol goal list, right? Well, I'm really doing mine. Again, another blanket goal, BUT let me assure you that I have my smaller, more attainable and specific goals written out. I just won't make you read them. I just might do an update now and again.

I suppose this picture goes with #7 and #8

8. I will start mentally preparing to become a mother.
Nope, not an announcement of any kind, nor am I saying that we are going to start trying for babies this coming year. I've just noticed that it is outside the realm of my mind to even imagine myself pregnant. I don't think my mind has even recognized that fact that I will eventually be an actual parent, with an actual baby. I find this kind of sad, considering we're running out of decent excuses AND I'm starting to really like babies. So, I shall start preparing...how I'm supposed to do that, I do not know. Tips and advice always welcome.

9. Continue my education and increase my knowledge.
As I'm sure most of you know, I'm a huge advocate for education. I feel guilty almost every day for not starting a Master's program this fall semester, but after lots of discussion, prayer, and tears, I now know that it's not the right time for me or my family. However, there is a psychology certificate that's caught my eye -- it's all online, only 7 classes, and I can take 1 class per semester. So, by the end of the year, I'd like to be enrolled or have taken at least one of those courses. Plus, I have half off tuition right now, I'd be crazy not too, right?

  1. Tip and or advice- You mentally prepare to be a mother when you are pregnant.

Once you have kids you will have NO idea how you lived without them. You will understand and FEEL the Love God has for you. It's ridiculous how much you can love another person.

Coming from the girl (your same age : )) who is due with her 3rd!

It is, though, a personal decision you and J have to make and J will mentally prepare to be a dad AFTER the baby has already arrived! haha Love you chels!

Love your goals! I know you can do it.
