My Kennecott Scholar

My sweet and amazingly smart husband is the subject of this post today. A couple months ago Jeremy was awarded a scholarship from Kennecott, Rio Tinto. He was 1 of 2 business students that recieved this scholarship, and trust me, it wasn't too tiny.

Yesterday they held a scholarship banquet for their scholars - there were several others in other divisions, like Mines and Engineering. Lisa came with us and we all had a good time. The president of the U and the CEO of Kennecott spoke and did a nice job. There was also some delicious appetizers and cranberry spritzer {yes I would mention the food}.

It will be such a blessing to have the rest of Jeremy's school paid for while he does internships and looks for new job opportunities {hopefully at Kennecott}. He just makes me so proud!

    If Kennecott doesn't pan out (which I am sure it will)...have him look into Kiewit. Brian is working for the mining group and they are always looking for new hires! If you want more info, let me know:) Congrats on the scholorship!!
